What Is Actual Day Wedding Coordination? A Singapore Guide
Wedding Coordination · Singapore
Actual day wedding coordination is a service in which a professional team takes over the running of your wedding day — the timeline, the vendors, the venue, the family helpers and every cue — so that you can be fully present at your own wedding. In Singapore it typically costs between S$1,500 and S$4,500. At Manna Weddings, it begins at S$2,500 nett with a team of three coordinators.

What actual day wedding coordination
means
"Actual day" is the Singapore term for what is called day-of or month-of coordination elsewhere. It is the final layer of a wedding: not the planning, not the styling, but the execution. The couple has chosen their venue, booked their vendors and decided how the day should go. The coordinator's job is to make it go that way.
In practice, actual day coordination begins before the day. In the final weeks, the coordination team takes over the detail from the couple — the schedule, the vendor list, the logistics, the family roles — reviews it for gaps, and then carries it through the wedding itself. On the day, the coordinators are the ones the vendors call, the banquet manager briefs, the emcee looks to, and the bridal party leans on. The couple's only job is to be in the room.
It is distinct from a wedding planner, who works with a couple for months to shape the wedding, and from venue coordination, which the hotel provides for its own operations but not for yours. A banquet manager will make sure dinner is served on time. They will not know that your grandmother needs to be seated before the tea ceremony begins, or that the groom's cousin is holding the rings.
Manna Weddings' actual day coordination includes a pre-wedding handover review and a full coordination team of three on the day, for either a half day of up to six hours or a full day of up to ten hours.

How much does actual day wedding coordination cost in Singapore?
In Singapore, actual day wedding coordination typically costs between S$1,500 and S$4,500. The range is wide because the service varies widely — from a single freelance coordinator to an established team of three with a lead, a bridal assistant and an AV coordinator.
Three things move the price. The first is team size: one person cannot be with the bride, at the AV desk and at the ballroom doors at the same time, and a wedding with a tea ceremony, solemnisation and banquet needs all three covered. The second is hours: a ten-hour day costs more than a six-hour one. The third is seniority: a principal planner on the day is a different proposition from a coordinator in their first season.
Manna Weddings sits at S$2,500 to S$3,500 nett, with three coordinators on every wedding regardless of package. We publish our rates because couples comparing planners deserve to compare them honestly.
Coordination is the one part of a wedding that cannot be seen in a photograph — and the part the couple feels most.
Do you need an actual day coordinator?
You most likely need an actual day coordinator if your wedding has more than one session, more than one venue, more than 150 guests, or a bridal party you would rather have celebrating than working.
More specifically, the signs we see most often:
-
Your day includes a tea ceremony and a solemnisation and a banquet — three sequences, each with its own cues
-
You are moving between venues, or between a church and a hotel
-
Your parents or family have expectations about tradition and timing that someone needs to hold gracefully
-
You have booked a montage, a live band, an emcee and a photobooth, and no one person knows how they all fit together
-
Your sister, best friend or maid of honour has been quietly assigned the job of "running things," and you would rather she simply enjoyed it
-
You have planned everything beautifully and are now realising that someone has to execute it — and that it cannot be you
If instead you are still choosing vendors, or want help shaping the wedding rather than running it, you need planning support — which brings us to the comparison.
Actual day coordination vs. pre-coordination vs. a wedding planner
The difference is when the professional steps in. Actual day coordination begins in the final month. Pre-coordination begins three months out. Partial and full planning begin six to fifteen months out and shape the wedding itself.
Service Begins Best for Team on the day From
Actual Day Coordination Up to 1 month before Everything booked & planned; 3 coordinators
you want the day run for you S$2,500
Pre-Coordination Up to 3 months before Vendors booked but details unresolved;
you want a professional to pull it 3 coordinators S$5,200
Partial Planning Up to 8 months before You have started and want guidance,
vendor recommendations and a planner's judgement
1 planner + 2 coordinators S$7,500
Full Planning Up to 15 months before You want the wedding shaped
and delivered end to end 1 planner +
2 coordinators S$8,500
Every package includes actual day coordination. The question is only how early you would like us in the room.
When to book an actual day coordinator
Book three to six months before the wedding. Peak Saturday dates and auspicious dates in Singapore are often secured nine to twelve months ahead, and a coordination team can only be in one ballroom on a given evening.
The service itself begins in the final month, but the booking should come well before — partly for availability, and partly because knowing that the day is already in good hands changes how the last stretch of planning feels.
What happens in the month before the wedding
The handover is where actual day coordination earns its keep. In the weeks before the wedding, the couple sits with the coordination team and walks through everything: the schedule, the vendor list, the family sequence for the tea ceremony, the solemnisation documents, the seating chart, the AV assets, the angbao arrangements, the helper roles. We read it all the way a coordinator reads it — looking for the twenty-minute gap no one noticed, the vendor arrival that clashes with the venue's loading window, the uncle who has been given two jobs at the same time.
From there we build the day's run sheet, brief every vendor, attend the venue's banquet briefing, and send the couple a packing list and gentle reminders in the final week. By the day before, the couple has nothing left to hold. That is the point.
Who is on the team
Every Manna Weddings coordination team has three people on the day, each with a defined role:
-
Lead Coordinator — runs the timeline, the vendors and the venue; communicates with the banquet manager; cues the emcee and the doors; handles anything that goes wrong so the couple never hears about it
-
Bridal Assistant — stays with the bride from morning prep onward; manages the gown, the bouquet, the touch-up kit, the pacing and the small reassurances; cues the bride before every walk-in
-
AV & Floor Coordinator — manages the holding slide, montages, march-in music, microphones and clicker; runs the room between cues; supports the tea ceremony sequence and the reception desk
Manna Weddings was founded by Belicia Tan after a decade in the wedding industry, and the team has planned and coordinated over 110 weddings across Singapore's leading hotels and heritage venues, including Raffles Hotel, Capella, The Ritz-Carlton, The Fullerton and CHIJMES.
