Some weddings feel fleeting. Others feel as though time pauses, if only for a moment. Tay Yang and Shona’s wedding at Raffles Hotel was the latter - timeless, composed, and effortlessly iconic.

Set against the colonial elegance of Raffles Hotel, their celebration unfolded like an editorial story in black and white. Every frame felt intentional: quiet glances, unhurried steps, and a love that felt grounded yet cinematic.
A Morning of Stillness and Intention
The day began before sunrise in Shona’s Raffles suite. In the early hours, the hotel was hushed - a fitting backdrop for a calm, unassuming start. As hair and makeup preparations unfolded, the focus was not spectacle but presence. We loved the veiling moments with her mother & father. It was touching & intimate. Moments like this, truly reminded us of how much we love being a part of a wedding celebration - because it is moments like this that stays remembered.

The First Look & Private Vows
Before the church wedding ceremony, Tay Yang and Shona shared an intimate first look and private vows within the Raffles grounds. Framed by palm trees and heritage arches, the moment felt suspended in time - understated, emotional, and deeply personal.
A Ceremony Rooted in Meaning
The church solemnisation ceremony was heartfelt and reverent. Shona walked in with her father as worship music filled the space, setting the tone for a ceremony anchored in faith and intention.
Vows were exchanged, rings placed, and the unveiling marked a quiet crescendo — not dramatic, but powerful in its sincerity. The ceremony flowed seamlessly, allowing guests to fully witness the couple’s commitment without distraction.

Tradition, Transition & a Fresh Perspective
The afternoon marked a gentle transition. Shona returned to Raffles for a second look, symbolising the shift from ceremony to celebration. The tea ceremony at Jubilee Lounge honoured family and heritage, beautifully reflecting the couple’s cross-cultural roots.
Every interaction felt deliberate — respectful, warm, and deeply familial.
An Evening That Felt Iconic
As evening fell, Raffles Hotel transformed once more. Guests arrived for cocktails and canapés, the ballroom revealed its elegance, and the celebration unfolded with quiet confidence.
Captured largely through black-and-white lenses, the night carried an unmistakable editorial quality — reminiscent of old cinema, paparazzi moments, and classic romance. There were no excesses, only clarity: meaningful speeches, thoughtful pacing, and moments that lingered.
Shona was radiant — poised, graceful, and timeless. Tay Yang, composed and steady. Together, they embodied a love story that felt modern yet eternal.
A Wedding That Transcends Trends
Trends fade. What remains is feeling. Tay Yang and Shona’s wedding at Raffles Hotel will always feel relevant — not because it followed trends, but because it trusted simplicity, intention, and timeless design.
A day that felt still. A night that felt iconic. A love story that will endure.
